However, if the VPN you use only provides you with access to IP addresses that are blocked by the Beeb, you obviously won’t be able to watch iPlayer while using it.

Not sure of the cause & the place of the problem as it works without vpn. Without vpn my local ip is in 192.168.x.x & after connecting vpn it changes to 172.16.x.x series ip provided the public ip to be the same.
